Biomarker Core

Background

The Biomarker Core is responsible for collecting, storing and sharing ante mortem biospecimens and data from well-characterized individuals within the Clinical Core and Population Neuroscience Core. This information will be related to data from the Genomic and Multiomics, Imaging, and Neuropathology Cores to develop biomarkers that enhance our understanding of disease heterogeneity, onset, progression and diagnosis. The Data Management and Statistical Core will track each participant’s samples and data across all cores over time. Therefore, in collaboration with the other cores, the Biomarker Core aims to provide researchers with a comprehensive and unique resource of biospecimens and data from the well-characterized subjects in the Clinical Core and Population Neuroscience Core.
