Dr. Chen-Pin Wang, PhD, specializes in the statistical design and analysis of longitudinal and multivariate data, particularly in the context of clinical and medical studies. She has developed expertise in statistical methods based on the latent variable model framework, which includes model diagnostics, validation, identifiability, assessment of heterogeneity, robust estimation, targeted statistical learning and causal inference. Dr. Wang has applied these advanced methods to investigate age-related comorbidities, such as cancer, diabetes, neurological diseases, pain, and mental disorders, with a focus on risk prediction, health disparities and heterogeneous treatment effects. Additionally, she has 17 years of research experience in designing, conducting, and analyzing studies that utilize large linked databases.
