Director of Autopsy Service for UT Health San Antonio Pathology & Laboratory Medicine and University Health

Andrea Gilbert, DO, is the principal neuropathologist and director of autopsy services at UT Health San Antonio and University Health. She joined the university after completing a neuropathology fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital, which was co-sponsored by M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Gilbert also graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University, where she completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology in Richmond, VA. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Pathology and is board-certified in neuropathology, anatomic pathology and clinical pathology.
