Outreach, Recruitment and Engagement Core

Background

The Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement Core serves as the community engagement branch of the South Texas Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. It acts as a vital connection between community partners that offer services and resources for older adults, caregivers, and the general public.

The core has two main objectives:

1. To enhance the ability of the center’s scientists to recruit and retain local participants in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) research.

2. To empower community partners, patients, and the general public by educating and engaging them in the early detection, care, treatment and prevention of ADRD.
